more folk stuff/ Raz na ludowo

Coasters, 6 pieces.
Podstawki pod kubki, sześć sztuk.
I decided that that my posts are going to be bilingual, mainly because of my Mom, and several friends of mine who do not necessary speak English.
We are getting ready for the Underground market next Saturday in the University District. We met with Ewa yesterday and spent some time preparing stuff, talking and watching weeds. I am really excited bout this market, even if we don't sell anything I think it will be lots of fun. So see you on Saturday!

Do zobaczenia w sobotę.

p.s. It is so odd.. words, meanings, subtexts that get lost in translation. Having life here and there with these and those words blows my mind every day. And ocasionaly breaks my heart.
Posiadanie życia tu i tam, z tymi i tamtymi slowami codziennie mnie zadziwia. I czasem łamie mi serce.

Ewa's feathers

You should see Ewa making these bohemian earrings. We had a party, I was dancing, Marie was recording my silly dance, Travis was doing dishes and Ewa just sat there, alienated, putting these feathers together, determined and focused.

That's all folk!

some home decor inspired by Polish folk art.

foggy beads

It had been foggy lately. Inside and outside. So I made some foggy beads.

beads I made over the weekend.

Some beads and a hat. all done this weekend, instead of studying...

chains and feathers

Chains and feathers were created two weeks ago, during a crazy party at my house in Capitol Hill, Seattle. Mostly because we were bored. And because we recently purchased some chains and feathers. And because we met Marie - our Czech friend. It turned out that she can make some amazing scarves, I can knit and make clay beads and Ewa is really into feathers. We decided to unite and form a friendly company. With three girls in charge - two Polish and one Czech- CHAINSANDFEATHERS will hopefully bring some Slavic fantasy to this kingdom of rain. Welcome!
